Here are a couple of pairs of earrings that I have made this month. The silver ones are a favourite that I wear most days and the crystal ones I made today. I am going to put them on Etsy for $12.00 USD a pair and see if they generate any interest. I will be keeping these silver ones for myself but am happy to make more if anyone wants them.

Silver Sensation

I haven't made anything for a while. I thought this necklace was a fitting return to the world of jewellery making. All Sterling silver chain, bead caps and findings with 8mm clear Swarovski bicones to make it sparkle. The necklace measures 19" (48cm)from end to end. This is in my opinion, the best necklace that I have ever made.

Here are my Earth Friendly Bracelets made with recycled glass focal beads. They look really great and I'm hoping that they will sell well. I have contrasted them with Swarovski bicones and metal beads. Would love some comments on the recycled glass beads.

Water lily Bracelet

This bracelet features beads named Monet's Water Lilies which were created by Artist Donna of Purple Pozies on Etsy. The metal beads are Indian beads, and as always I included some Swarovski Crystals for added sparkle. It is a larger bracelet measuring 9.5" or 24cm. It can be shortened if required. Czech bead Bracelets

Just so you know that I am still beading, here are yesterday's bracelets. The blue one has indigo Swarovski bicones, gold seed beads and czech fire-polished beads. The darker bracelet has Czech fire-polished beads and Czech Picasso square beads. Unfortunately my photography skills do not do them justice. They look a lot nicer than the photos.

I have been wondering what I should make with these gorgeous Pink lampwork beads for a while now. I decided to make a necklace and I am pleased with the result. I used Swarovski crystals and black glass multi faceted 10 mm beads and a sterling silver chain.

Irish Claddagh Necklace

This necklace has Czech seed beads in Irish green. I added some 4mm Swarovski crystals to add some sparkle and surrounded the pendant with two 6mm bicones.
The Charm is Sterling Silver 925
The Claddagh's distinctive design features two hands clasping a heart, and usually surmounted by a crown.
The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of love (the heart), friendship (the hands), and loyalty (the crown).
The expression which was associated with these symbols in the giving of the ring was: "With my hands I give you my heart, and crown it with my love."

Size: The necklace is 45cm long (just over 17.5") and the pendant is approx 10mm wide x 12mm in height

My Fire necklaces are going well, I have sold two to people in Canada so far and I have another listed. I have put them on an Etsy site called Victorian Bushfire Appeal. There is a link on this page if you want to have a look. There are heaps of donated arty items on there and all proceeds are given to the bushfire appeal. They have raised about $5000 AUD to date.

My Twilight earrings are also going well. I had two people bidding against each other on Ebay and I managed to sell them a pair each in the end. I have enough apple charms left to make one last pair if anyone is interested.

So things are picking up which is nice.

Necklace to assist victims of Bendigo Fires

This necklace has been designed with the recent fires in mind. All proceeds from the sale of this necklace will be deposited directly into the Bendigo Bank account that has been set up to help the victims of these fires.

I have just realised that my listing on Ebay was against their rules for charity listings. So although my intentions were good, my listing broke the rules so I have ended it. Here are some necklaces I created tonight because it is too hot to sleep. We are promised over 40 degrees for the next 4 days. Arghhh!!
I think that these necklaces look great apart and together as a set, I think that I will advertise them as a pair on Etsy for $37.00. The earrings are "Bollywood" style according to someone who will remain nameless. Would love some feedback from readers. Do you like them? Do you think that the necklaces look good together? Please comment.

Sometimes the most simple jewellery can become the favourite pieces. I'm keeping this necklace for myself but am happy to make more if anyone wants one. Any colours can be made with Swarovski Crystals. The tigerwire I have used for this one is white but can be done in silver, dark blue or sterling silver if wanted. Necklaces will be sold for $15.00 each unless sterling silver wire is requested which will be more expensive. The earrings were just a thought that I has when I was showing a friend the single drop ones that are pictured earlier in this website.

Yesterday it was 45 degrees so too hot to bead or do anything really. Today it is a bit cooler so I started to use the beads that I got from Maria George Pty Ltd. Here is the necklace with dolphin pendant using glass donut beads and some earrings.

Today we went to Melbourne on a bead shopping trip. I found three bead stores. I was most impressed with Maria George Pty Ltd where I purchased a couple of pendants and some glass donut beads with colour inside. I also went to Bizzare Beads and The Bead Factory.

Blue Egyptian Lazuli Lapis gemstone necklace and earrings

This is my first two strand necklace. It looks better on than it does lying down. It's hard to take a good photo of my own neck though! Note the little white dangles at the junction where the two strands become one. I used a heart toggle for the clasp.

I find jewellery making quite addictive. There are so many possibilities and combinations and I find that I am eager to explore all the different colours and shapes. It's so exciting to create something that is unique and completely designed by myself. That is why we have some more photos to share tonight. The matching set came about thanks to the colour wheel once again.

I purchased a colour wheel the other day. This is a bracelet and earring set that I made using the wheel to dictate my colours. I was really impressed with the outcome as these were colours that I would never have put together myself.
